What can you say?

I am not celebrating the recent news regarding several high profile democrat politicians in the USA.  Jessie Jackson Jr. and his wife have just pleaded guilty to the misuse of over $750,000.00 in campaign funds.  They apparently bought memorabilia from various other celebrities.

The former mayor of New Orleans is now charged with accepting kickbacks from various contractors.

This is not exclusive to the democrat group, other groups have their share of people whose power has gone to their head, and they believe they are above the law.  Sadly, humans are susceptible to being corrupted and self serving.  It is particularly sad to me when those who are charged with the care of others fail in this way.

It is sad that we as humans do not learn from the experiences of others.  Rod Blagojevich was a leader in this cycle of corruption, he also had contact with Jessie Jackson Jr. over the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama.  Hmmm... Maybe what they say about Chicago is true.  Now their mayor is the former chief of staff for Obama.

Remember Obama named as his Treasury Secretary someone who hadn't filed his own income taxes for years?  Hmmm... I think the rotten apples don't fall far from the tree.

I hear that both Chicago and New Orleans are pretty cities.  I have only visited one of them,  I guess it follows that beauty is skin deep, but ugly goes clear to the bone.
